Lighting Up the Caversham Suns 90s Night

We love working on projects that are a little different, especially when they support our local community.

For the Caversham Suns JFC 90s Fundraiser Night, we created a custom 3D printed lightbox featuring the Caversham Suns logo.

The club held its “Nothing But 90s” fundraiser night to help raise funds for its junior players, facilities and the wider Caversham Suns community, so we wanted to create something that would fit right in with the night.

From Logo to Lightbox

We started with the familiar Caversham Suns logo

and recreated it as a multi-colour 3D printable design.

The front was printed using red, yellow, white and black, keeping the colours and overall appearance of the original logo while turning it into something completely different.

The lightbox itself was printed in multiple components, including the outer frame and detailed illuminated face, before everything was assembled and lighting was installed inside.

One of the fun parts of making lightboxes like this is seeing the design come to life for the first time when the lights are switched on.

And this one definitely lights up! ☀️

A Custom Piece for the Club

Rather than simply printing an existing model, projects like this allow us to take a business, sporting club or organisation's existing branding and turn it into a physical display piece.

The finished Caversham Suns lightbox can now be used at future events, presentations, clubrooms or simply as a bit of decoration showing off the club colours.

It was also great seeing it completed in time for the Caversham Suns 90s Fundraiser Night.
