Aliens Reviewed Earth - Something Fun!!!

Not every 3D printing project needs to be serious, practical or business-related!

A client recently approached us with a design file they had found online and asked whether we could bring it to life as a physical 3D print. The design featured a cheeky alien breaking through a stone wall, complete with a humorous hand gesture.

After reviewing and preparing the file, we produced it as a detailed, multi-colour display piece measuring approximately 200 mm × 200 mm using white, grey, dark grey and black PLA filament

More Than Just a Printed Picture

Although the design has the appearance of an image, the finished piece is not simply flat.

The surface includes raised ridges, recessed sections and embossed details that create physical texture and depth. These changes in height help define the alien’s face, hand, clothing and surrounding stonework, giving the finished print a layered, almost carved appearance.

The combination of colour and raised detailing allows the design to stand out from different viewing angles and makes it much more interesting than a standard printed image.
